Attorney Vivian Qin's parents are wrongly imprisoned for a bridge collapse (bribery and shoddy work) and die in jail. Vivian is determined to become a lawyer to fight injustice and clear her parents' names. She seeks out those involved in the case and helps them with their current problems (ongoing cases). Each case provides clues, but a powerful figure misdirects her investigation. Rival colleagues try to sabotage Vivian, but she solves each case and advances her career.
